About The Position

As a content writer, your role will be to produce high-quality SEO-optimized blog content, product descriptions, web articles, and website pages that are informative and engaging.

The successful applicant must have a strong command of written English and excellent research skills on a wide range of topics.

Understanding complex topics, summarizing them in lay terms, and adding a dash of creativity is important.

Qualifications

  • Ability to write quickly, succinctly, and independently under tight deadlines is a must
  • Ability to research a range of topics using various online resources (databases, the Internet), interviews, and observation
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities are required
  • Good understanding of SEO, best practices, and Google Guidelines
  • Positive attitude; self-motivated; able to manage time well; journalistic writing style; creative writing experience preferred
  • 1 + years of experience in writing SEO-optimized content
  • 1 + years of content writing, editing, and proofreading experience is required
  • At least 10+2 years of education required
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in English or journalism is preferred. However, a science, computer, management, or arts and humanities major would be acceptable
  • Experience with Surfer and AI copywriting tools is a great plus for this position
  • Having an existing portfolio is preferable but not mandatory
  • Candidates must have good communication skills through emails and other tools like slack
  • Comfortable with MS Office, Excel, Google docs, and other industry-standard SEO tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Alertness is required due to the nature of this job

Responsibilities

  • Write an SEO-optimized content within a given timeline
  • While creating the content, you should strictly adhere to the content brief provided to you
  • Grasp the targeted audience to whom you are writing and then establish the tone of your content
  • Must conduct thorough research on a given topic and deliver high-quality SEO-optimized plagiarism-free content with proper citation
  • If applicable, include screenshots or other supporting materials for the content
  • Mandatory proofread and edit the content at least once to ensure it is free of spelling and grammatical errors
  • Must adhere to the organization’s content quality standards and citation regulations to maintain a high level of quality and trustworthiness
  • Work collaboratively with editors and SEO experts in a team environment
  • Should be consistent with the delivery of content
  • Keep a tab on the latest trends in your field, report to the Editor/Manager, and suggest new topics of interest, if any
